Navin Vanu with five minutes remaining was enough for the
Geylang Eagles to clinch three points over Balestier Khalsa
at Bedok Stadium.
Geylang had captain and leading scorer Guntur Djafril ejected
from the field in the 44th minute when he elbowed Balestier
defender Imran Yusof. Assistant referee Mohd Sarif Rasip called
for referee John Doo to the touchline and after consultation,
the latter showed Guntur the red.

(1-0):: TOA PAYOH, 22 July: Balestier Khalsa notched its first
win in the Prime League after a winless streak of two months
when the Tigers defeated Woodlands Wellington 2-1 at Toa Payoh
Stadium.
The Tigers' last victory in th Prime League dated back to
24 April, when the Tigers defeated Sengkang Punggol 2-1 at
Hougang Stadium.
Captain for the day Poh Yi Feng put the home side ahead with
a superb volley after 12 minutes and increased his tally with
a penalty after 48 minutes. Shaun Tan scored a consolation
for the Rams in the 62nd minute.
