the quarter-finals of the Avaya - J&J League Cup after
surprising beat Geylang United 2-1 at Bedok Stadium.
Tigers' Nigerian Mba Vitus Onyekachi scored his first goal
of the season in the 22nd minute. Miroslav Latiak equalised
for the Eagles in the 30th minute with a freekick. Former
Eagle Faizal Amir settle the match with the winner in the
63rd minute.

a 2-2 draw at home by Geylang United at Toa Payoh Stadium.
Masrezwan Masturi had put the Geylang Eagles ahead in the
6th minute. Anantha Rajan equalised on two minutes after resumption
and put the home side in front with 62 minutes on the clock.
With an initial indication of four minutes of added time to
be played, referee Muhd Taqi continued the match right into
the seventh minute, resulting in Geylang drawing level through
Rivaldo Costa.

Cup will kick off on 30 May with the grand final scheduled
for 16 June.
This season, the Avaya-J&J League Cup will feature all
12 S.League sides with the top four teams from last years
NTUC Income YEOS S.League SAFFC, Home
United, Tampines Rovers and Gombak United receiving
a bye into the quarter-finals.
Woodlands Wellington won the inaugural League Cup last season
when they cruised to a 4-0 victory over Sengkang Punggol in
the final.
