::Fans' Information: Triple Title Showdown Day::
SINGAPORE, 20 November 2007: And then there were three. In fact, the identity of the three teams leading the NTUC Income – YEO’S S.League table has been the same since the first month of the season.

All three title protagonists – SAFFC, Home United and Tampines Rovers – have at one stage or another sat on the summit. The game of musical chairs carried on for eight months and after 194 matches and 607 goals later, it all comes down to 90 minutes at Choa Chu Kang, Bedok and Tampines on Wednesday 21 November.

The fat lady is clearing her throat. Who will be left standing at the end of Triple Title Showdown Day?

The Equation:
SAFFC will win the title with a win over Gombak United.
Home United will win the title if they beat Geylang United and SAFFC either draws with or loses to Gombak.
Tampines Rovers will win the title if they beat Albirex Niigata, SAFFC loses to Gombak and Home either draws with or loses to Geylang.

Interesting trivia ahead of Triple Title Showdown Day:
Gombak are the only team outside of the top three to have taken points off SAFFC, Home and Tampines this season.
In two previous league meetings this season, SAFFC have lost once and drawn the other against Gombak. The Warriors, however, beat the Bulls home and away in the RHB Singapore Cup quarter-final for an incredible 9-5 aggregate win.
In the history of the S.League, there have been only three previous seasons (1996 Tiger Beer series, 1998 and 2001) where the title remained undecided come the final matches of the campaign.
In 2001, three teams – Geylang, Home and SAFFC – went into their last games all with a chance of the title. Geylang sealed the title with a 3-0 win over Jurong.
In 1998, SAFFC won the league by the narrowest of margins – goal difference of +4 – after finishing the season level on 46 points with Tanjong Pagar United. Interesting, the Warriors beat Gombak 1-0 in their final game of the season to clinch the title.
The team that was leading the table going into the final games of the season (in the 1996 Tiger Beer series, 1998 and 2001) all went on to win the title.
SAFFC will become only the second team after themselves (in 1998) and Tampines (in 2005) to have successfully retained the S.League title if they complete the job on Wednesday.

::Fans' Information: Three teams still with a chance of lifting the S.League championship in the final Gameweek::
SINGAPORE, 20 November: This season has seen the closest championship race in the history of the NTUC Income-YEO’S S.League with Singapore Armed Forces FC, Home United and Tampines Rovers all still with a mathematical chance of lifting the crown on the final Gameweek of the season.

Singapore Armed Forces FC are currently top of the league on 76 points, one point ahead of Home United and two ahead of third-placed Tampines Rovers with each team playing their final matches of the season on Wednesday, 21 November.

The Warriors host fourth-placed Gombak United at the Choa Chu Kang Stadium while Home United travel to Bedok Stadium to play Geylang United.

Meanwhile Tampines Rovers welcome Albirex Niigata (S) at the Tampines Stadium. All three matches are scheduled to kick off at 7.45pm.

The prize presentations for the champions, first-runners-up and second runners-up will be held immediately after the matches.

The champions will be presented with the NTUC Income-YEO’S S.League trophy, champions’ medals and a cheque for S$150,000 with the first runners-up receiving a cheque for S$75,000 and first runners-up medals

The second runners-up will take home a cheque for S$40,000 and second-runners up medals.
